प्रसिद्ध हिंदू के अनुसार, प्रेरित/inspired by the gods in heaven,/divine beings such as Brahma and Vishnu decided that they would incarnate on earth to destroy evil and bring peace to the world. They chose King Dasharatha of Ayodhya as their father figure and his three wives Kausalya, Kaikayi and Sumitra were blessed with sons who were actually reincarnations of divine beings.

Rama was born to Queen Kausalya while Bharata was born to Kaikeyi; Lakshmana and Shatrughna were twins born to Sumitra.

When Rama reached adulthood he married Sita after winning her hand in a competition organized by her father Janaka, the king of Mithila. Sita was an incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi and Rama's companion in all his adventures.

But trouble soon came knocking on their door when Kaikeyi's maid Manthara convinced her to ask the king to banish Rama from Ayodhya for 14 years and crown Bharata as the new king. Although heartbroken, King Dasharatha had to keep his word and sent Rama into exile along with Sita and Lakshmana.

During their exile, they encountered various demons like Surpanakha who wanted to marry Rama but was rejected by him. This enraged her brother Ravana who kidnapped Sita with the help of Maricha, a demon disguised as a golden deer.

Rama enlisted the help of Hanuman, a monkey warrior who could fly through air/wind/and jump over mountains/rivers/oceans/,to find Sita. With his army of monkeys including Sugriva, Angad and Jambavan among others, Hanuman crossed oceans/overcame obstacles/fought battles/slayed enemies/to reach Lanka where he found Sita imprisoned in Ashok Vatika guarded by Rakshasis (demonesses).

In order to free her from captivity/his clutches/Ravana's grasp/,Rama fought a fierce battle against Ravana with his divine weapons given by gods such as Lord Shiva and Indra. Finally after defeating him in combat/dual/battle/,Ravana begged for forgiveness before dying at Rama's feet.

After completing their exile period/staying away from home/exile duration,Ram,Sita, and Lakshmana returned back/back home/to Ayodhya where they were welcomed by people celebrating Diwali - festival that marks defeat of evil forces/light overcoming darkness/.

Thus ended their journey which is known as Ramayana - an epic tale that teaches us about love, family, duty, loyalty and the victory of good over evil. It is a story that has been passed down through generations and continues to inspire people even today.
